During Mr. Jones’ career in investment banking, he was involved in numerous private equity transactions, both as a direct investor and as an advisor to leveraged buyout sponsors, and countless strategic acquisitions. He has personally made private equity investments in businesses engaged in entertainment, lodging, manufacturing, distribution, energy, specialty finance, insurance, maritime services and environmental services. He served for two years as a managing director at The Blackstone Group, a leading leveraged buyout firm based in New York. He has also been involved as a financial advisor in merger transactions and “reverse” LBOs involving many financial sponsor firms, including Hellman & Friedman and Apollo Group. The Wall Street Journal described Mr. Jones in a front-page article as “one of the Street’s most fertile minds.”

Before co-founding Sage Capital, Mr. Lemkemeier was President of Contec, Inc. He now serves as Chairman of the Company’s advisory board and remains a minority owner. Mr. Lemkemeier has led acquisitions of sub-middle market companies for Contec and has invested personally in private equity transactions. In addition, he was involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions of small and middle market companies as a lawyer at Bryan Cave, LLP.
